Hits Deep Concert

Well, last night we headed down to see a TobyMac concert down in somewhere... Illinois is all I know. (: All I can say is that it.
Was.
Amazing.
Personally, I'd be totally willing to trade out church every week for a concert like that. It was far better, in my opinion.
Strangely, even Mom liked it, even though he didn't sing her favourite song. Here are a few pictures:
This place was huge. Hockey rink!

The stage is that way, but that's not the reason for this picture.
See the guy in the blue-and-gray striped hoodie?
He's from Zach and my past co-op. We keep seeing him all over...
One of us has to be stalking the other...

A little  closer...

The rest of the place.

Stagey-stage!

Guitars.
Zach told us (in a very long spiel) that all the equipment they used basically amounted up to... oh, a million dollars.

Zach and I beforehand. Before we put our earplugs in.

See the yellow-ish shirt? To the left is a girl from Westlake.

Beginner announcer people.

Random guy on crutches. We're not sure who he was.

Capitol Kings, the beginning of the show.

They were ridiculously energetic.

CLAP

Peoples.

Don't remember who he was.

Or him.

Colton Dixon

Jamie Grace

Brandon Heath

I will quote him right now "We aren't here for ourselves. We are here to forget ourselves"

He continued to show off and dance.

MANDISA

Brandon Heath, and I THINK that was TobyMac. I'm not sure.

A. Who's hand was that?
B. It looks like they're poking Brandon Heath in the back.

At this point TobyMac and Blue-Jeaned Guy, plus guitarist, were at the back of the place.
Not the front.

Phones are pretty darn cool.

After this, they played a few more songs, then we were done. I don't know that I've eve jumped so much before in my life. Or randomly pumped my hand up and down. Or clapped. I couldn't feel my palms. Thank goodness Mr. Newell was smart enough to get earplugs for everyone. (:

  1. Even this "old" lady enjoyed the concert. He should have sung my favorite song - but, I did enjoy the ones he sang. Good times!
