FIRST KNITTING POST!!!!!!!!!!!! WHEEEEEE

Okay, so I don't actually have a project to display, nor a pattern to post, but it's still about knitting!!!!!!!

My first design, for a simple pillow cover, is underway. As in, I've figured out the vague gauge, and how many feet of yarn per row, and what colours I want to do it in. Now all I've got to do is order the yarn! Well.. also, I've got to convince Mom to let me buy it, then I have to get her to pause her stuff for more than 5 minutes so we can order it, then I've got to get coupons and go to Joann's, and buy the proper needles.... And THEN I can knit the pillow!

Here's yarn colour #1:

I haven't decided yet. Since pictures can be misleading, I am hesitant to buy the pink yarn, since it might be a bright fuschia, or even violet! But, I'm still determined to buy this yarn, because it is gorg, and has good reviews. Nearly everyone said that the colours are as pictured, and that the yarn doesn't split or pill, but it is a bit slippery, they say. Me says challenge accepted. YAY I CAN'T WAIT.

Carnage

Last night my family and I were at youth group, which is an hour and a half away, in rush hour traffic. This is what we find when we come home: (apparently it rained here and not there... It's not that far away, as the crow flies, so that's kind of weird).

Right outside our front door

Side view of the tree a few houses down.

This

And this, are the same tree. Look how close it was to that car!

Mini disaster area.
Picked a good day to be gone, didn't we?

Whoop new knitting spot that doesn't work anymore since my dresser is now not in my closet....

I'll just leave you to the pictures.

Very nice for packing some random t-shirts in a box. but now        this^ is in there, and I sit in there and knit/read. (: Funny-fun-fun. (:

Homeschool Madness/Zach's Running-Like-Frank-Is-Behind-Him Thing

First, Zach's cross country:

Only pictures we got, maybe we'll get more tomorrow. He did pretty well, but he was REALLY frustrated because he was one SECOND off his normal time. Overreaction.

Then, Mom and my experiment, that SHOULD have counted for my science lesson, but, nooooooo, I have to read, too. (Luckily, it was only two pages).

Dad was packing, and found a pile of old Kool-Aid freebies, so, naturally, Mom and I put seven of them in one glass, two inches full of water. That's normal, right?

FYI: Just because it looks like coral water, does NOT mean the middle one is incapable of being DISGUSTING. Even worse then the grape Kool-Aid to the seventh power

So, when you find 7 Kool-Aid packets... put all of them in one cup of water, and video results. I definitely want to see this with different flavours of Kool-Aid
